Just keep in mind that this PLC has no serial port and you need PCMK card to connect. Topic A Destination = SLC500-10.0.30. Posted (edited) As people pointed, 5/15 is a classic processor, and you probably did not change Platform from Enhanced to Original (or Classic). To reach a SLC500 with DH+ node Id 5, using channel A of a DHRIO card at slot 9 of a ControlLogix at IP address 10.0.30.21. Word Words in the PLC-5’s memory consist of 16 bits. This switch only has 2 states: On or Off. Bit A bit is the smallest unit of information in the PLC-5, and is only 1 or 0. Relevant example from IO Servers manual DF1: The terminology is very important in understanding how the addressing works in the PLC-5. I wanted to confirm this can be done with no processor in the Logix rack, just an Ethernet Bridge Adaptor (EN2T) and a DHRIO. My question is can the Flexy route the same way ? By the looks of the manual for the IO servers for DF1 it seems it can, refer example at the bottom of page 25 (routing as below except we will be reaching a PLC5 not a SLC500). This setup provides access for the SCADA, RSLinx can pipe thru the EN2T (EIP) to the DHRIO via the backplane and out the channel with DH+. There is no processor in the Logix rack, just the 2 comms cards. The connection to the PLC5 is via DH+, there is a ControlLogix type chassis on site with a 1756-EN2T and 1756-DHRIO with the DHRIO connecting to the PLC5 via DH+. We have an application where we need to get data from an Allen Bradley PLC5.
